Christina Economou is 25 years old and hails from France. She launched her own fashion brand in 2013. Upon graduation from Parsons and Istituto Marangoni in Paris, she won the 2011 International Award at London Graduate Fashion Week. Her collections mirror her own easy and diverse style. This results in a brand that is progressive and classic. She has a clear vision for her brand. To create a line that offers a refined twist on typical day and nightwear.  Christina Economou chooses to use beautiful printed silk fabrics made according to a time-honored tradition in Soufli, Northern Greece.

On creating her own brand Christina says, “I think many young designers today will find that fashion design education prepares you for the challenges of design but not necessarily for the trials and pitfalls of building a successful business.”

Sarah Flint, age 25, launched her brand in 2013 under her name. She brought her dreams to fruition following graduation at Parsons and the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. After interning at Diane von Furstenberg and Proenza Schouler, Sarah went on to Ars Sutoria in Milan, Italy. She desired to master skills in pattern making and prototyping.

After studying with Richard Siccardi, she embarked on the creation of her own company focusing on handmade shoes in Tuscany. Subsequently, her elegant, luxury footwear have catapulted her to the forefront of the fashion industry.

Lucy Jones, who is 24 and a graduate of Parsons School of Design, has created the brand Seated Design. The clothes are designed for those in wheelchairs. In addition, she wanted to honor her cousin who is paralyzed on one side of his body. Lucy developed a pair of pants for her cousin Jake to model. As a result, they were made for easy on-off wear.

Also, her dedication has led to innovation in her collections. Additional embellishments include hardware and other added materials that have made getting dressed easier.

Regarded highly amongst women fashion designers and men, both, her designs were highlighted at the Parson School of Design’s 67th Annual Fashion Benefit. As a result, Lucy won the Womenswear Designer of the Year award. She went on to win the “Empowering Imagination” competition the same day.

Women Fashion Designers Under 30 And Their Work - charlie!Beaufille

Parris and Chloé Gordon are two women fashion designers who have worked together to launch their Canadian fashion brand known as Beaufille. They’ve been studying the masculine and feminine elements of clothing. As a result, they use their findings in the designing of their clothing line.

This year they made their official debut at New York Fashion Week which made a lasting impression. After attending Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, Chloé obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree majoring in Textiles in 2010. Additionally, Parris graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree majoring in jewelry.

Beaufille focuses on fashion, jewelry, and accessories for women. Chloe is responsible for the ready-to-wear designs. Parris Gordon develops all of the accessories.

Caitlin Price, age 28, completed her master’s degree at Central Saint Martins. Afterward, she became Christopher Shannon’s designer for women’s wear following graduation. Caitlin then created her own label in February of 2015 through Fashion East. Her designs encompass sportswear and evening wear.

Her debut collection was at LFW in February at the ICA. As a result, this garnered her second highly renowned presentation at the Revue gallery in Soho.

Caitlin was slated as a semi-finalist for the LVMH prize for young fashion designers in Paris 2016. Her brand sells at the London Show Rooms Paris.
