Hey mom! Do you want to make money from home? Yes, you read it right! You can work right at the comforts of your home. Read on and know some of the best jobs for moms who stay at home!
When I found out that I was pregnant, I swear I was so ecstatic! I was so thrilled about the idea of becoming a mom. Although growing up, to be honest, I never really saw myself being one. Well, I thought, for once, I was never ever going to marry.
But as they say, people change.
When I met my husband, it was as if there was magic, and I suddenly want to have kids and build my own family.
My pregnancy was a bliss. It wasn’t perfect of course. I had morning sickness and all that, but I would rather just look at the positive things that happened than remember the not-so-good ones.
Anyway, when my husband and I were talking about our after pregnancy plan, I thought I was still going to work. I thought life would still be the same, at least work-wise. But, hey, I was wrong.
We started finding a nanny, but sad to say, we did not find one. We tried babysitters but eventually had to let go of her as well. Until one day, we made a decision – something I never ever thought I will ever get myself into. We decided that I should leave my job and be a fulltime mom.
I will be honest, it was one of the hardest decisions. But, looking back and looking at where we are right now, it was also the best decision I have ever made in my life. Well, nothing beats being able to take care of my baby, right?
Fast-forward to today, I am happily taking care of our child, and at the same time, working! Yes, I am back working for a while now. But here’s the thing, though I am working fulltime, I still get to take care of my baby! How did that happen? Well, I chose one of the most popular work route especially for moms right now – work from home!

For stay at home moms who want to continue earning their own money or for their family, work from home is definitely the key. But just like any other job out there, working from home also poses a lot of challenges. It’s not perfect.
It is important that you and your family know what your priorities are. Below are some reasons that I divided into two groups. This way you will be able to see clearly the very reasons why you want to work, and why you want to work from home.
- Financial security
- Career advancement
- Personal fulfillment
- Bills payment
- Payment for any debt
- Save for your retirement
- Save for your children’s college
Why Work from Home:
- Spend more time with kids
- Save money on childcare
- Save money from commuting and daily food allowance at work
- Leave an unhealthy work environment
- Stress reduction
– Plan for a work from home setup
Working from home is not just about having a working laptop or desktop computer and reliable internet. While both are essentials, you also need to consider some other important matters, which include:
- Child Care – When you are working from home, you will no longer have full attention to your kids. To be able to work from home, you got to figure out whether you will need a babysitter or would you rather enroll your child to a daycare. You and your husband need to figure that out before even beginning your job hunting sessions.
- House Rules – This basically means, organizing everything at home. Once you start working from home, some things will change. It is better that you discuss it first with your family. It also helps manage expectations from each member of the family.
- Home Office – While you can work in any area at home, the most ideal setup when working from home is to have a specific work area. Choose an area at home where there is less distraction.
- Schedule – Make sure to have a daily schedule and inform the family about it. It basically helps keep things organized. When every member of the family knows you are working from this time to this time, they know that your focus is at work during those times, thus, they will ensure to respect your work time.
– Start finding a work-from-home job.
Once you are done with the three previous points, then, you are all set to start hunting for a work-from-home job. As I mentioned earlier, there are a lot of jobs for moms who stay at home out there to choose from. All you have to do is be ready for opportunities to come knocking at your door.
Just a very important reminder though, when looking for a work-from-home job, make sure you are dealing with a legit job post. Avoid scams by being cautious.
