There is no such thing as a parenting manual, which is why parenting blogs come in really handy for new and old parents alike. It is through these blogs where we get inputs on how to become a better parent to our children.
Becoming a parent is easy, but being a parent is a totally different story.
We bet no one said being a parent is a breeze. If there is anyone who said that, well, he or she deserves a monument. Kidding aside, being a parent is a mixture of emotions and feelings. It is both challenging, at the same time amazing and fulfilling. But we would like to believe that at the end of it all, one thing is for sure, being a parent is a blessing.
While there are books and reference you can read and get ideas from on how to become a good parent or be successful with parenting, nothing compares to learning from real-life experiences. Thus, in times when you feel like you need someone to teach you how to be a parent, we say, the best way to go is to read stories from real parents.
There are so many parenting blogs out there to choose from. Perhaps it is safe to say that more parents are becoming generous in sharing their parental life experiences – not necessarily to teach their fellow parents to be like them but to inspire them, give them an idea of how they can succeed in similar situations.
Here’s an interesting fact from Scarborough Research as published by Mashable. It has been found that 14% of American moms with one child blogs or turn to blogs for advice or to get ideas from. More so, 3.9 million moms in the US say that they do own a blog and that 500 of them are considered as influential. Amazing, right? No wonder why more and more mom blogs are coming out.
So, without further ado, we came up with our top 15 list of parenting blogs, which hopefully you can get ideas and inspiration on how to be great at parenting.

YOUR MODERN FAMILY
Your Modern Family blog is owned and managed by a wife and a mom to four wonderful kids, Becky Mansfield. Becky was once a teacher, and eventually became a play therapist and a stay-at-home mom.
In this blog, she specifically shares almost anything and everything about parenting and family life as a whole. Although, Becky specifically pointed out that on this blog, she and her readers will talk about raising kids, organizing the home, as well as money-saving tips and recipes that your family will surely love.
Becky writes honest articles, needless to say, regardless of the topic, she writes well-written thoughts, and that her blogs are really relatable.
At the end of the day, we thought this blog offers nothing but honest parenting and family life tips.
Meanwhile, while reading parenting blogs is totally amazing, creating or building your own bog is also an option you may want to consider especially if you want fellow parents to take inspiration from you or if you want to encourage fellow moms. If you want to have an idea on how to start a mom blog (and make money out of it too), here’s a tutorial video from Suzi W Start a Mom Blog:
BIG FAMILY ORGANISED CHAOS
The Big Family Organised Chaos blog is authored by Mandi Morrison. The blog used to be called, Hex Mum Plus One. Together with her husband, Asa, they have built a not so ordinary family with 7 kids! That’s amazing! You know, having such a big family nowadays is really amazing.
Anyway, the blog focuses on almost all aspects of parenting. It tackles topics from pregnancy to giving birth, home organization, life hacks, and anything and everything under the sun that pretty much makes parenting and family life less chaotic.

Motherly is very popular. You see it everywhere. But, setting the popularity aside, we find this blog really helpful especially for new moms.
When you visit the site, it’s very pleasing and easy to the eyes. Very feminine. But although it looks and feels like very womanly, needless to say, the name of the blog itself is womanly, the topics are actually catering to both mommies and daddies. Both parents will learn from their blogs, which are actually coming from real-life moms.
The blog is comprised of articles that are both educations and very relatable. More so, there are also articles that are not just based on real-life stories, but also backed by experts.
LOVE THAT MAX
We found this blog very much filled with love. Love That Max is a blog site that talks about loving and raising a child with special needs. It talks about how parents should deal with the challenges that come with having a special kid.
Also, it is a blog that will make parents feel that they are not alone. They have a fellow parent with special children that they can lean on and learn from.
Max is actually the author’s kid who happens to have been diagnosed with cerebral palsy. His mom made it as personal advocacy to raise awareness and be a source of support to other special needs moms.
If you want some dose of inspiration, this is surely one that you must consider reading.
We have to say that this blog is one of the most ideal parenting advice blogs so far – especially since the author talks based on her personal experience in raising and loving a kid with special needs.
HOW TO BE A DAD
Of all the parenting blogs we’ve read, this is probably one of the funniest and most inspirational blogs for daddies all over the world.
According to the people behind the blog, Charlie and Andy is not really a “how-to” blog, rather it is more of a “how not to”. It basically is an entertainment website not only for daddies but moms too! Oh, and basically for anyone who wants to learn fun things that surround parenting.
THE REAL THING WITH THE COAKE FAMILY
No, it has nothing to do with the famous soda band. It just sounds like.
Anyway, the blog is KC’s (the author) little corner where she shares DIY projects, recipes for the family, crafts, as well as organizing tips, which is very common these days, by the way. She specifically made the blog for women who are creative like her.
In the blog, it very obvious that everything she does is centered on making the home warm and inviting. The blog is actually a mixture of creativity and fun.
Like Motherly, Kelly Mom is also one of the most popular blogs on parenting. It is very informative, at the same time, very relatable.
Kelly Mom is ideal for new moms who are struggling with parenting challenges. It is also ideal for mommies who are breastfeeding. They have tons of blogs that talk around breastfeeding, which are really helpful.
We found every article of Kelly Mom as helpful, inspiring, and encouraging. Especially the breastfeeding blogs, we found them very motivating – because if you are a mom, you know how hard breastfeeding can get. So being able to read articles that tell you, you are not alone or that encourages you to continue what you are doing – it means a lot.
SHE STARTED IT
She Started It is fairly new in the sea of parenting blogs, but we have to say, this is to watch out for.

The site was launched to be able to help women understand and cope with the many realities of motherhood as well as a career as a whole. She Started It aims to inspire every working mom to “continue learning and dreaming not only for your families but, for yourselves too”.
She Started It tackles very important topics surrounding mommies today — finance, family life, style and wellness, blogging, as well as work opportunities not just inside an office setting, but also home-based jobs.
She Started It is very promising, needless to say, very informative, and relatable. We like the fact that mommies get to be reminded that being a mom is not just about taking care of babies and the household, but it also means taking care of your own.

HAPPY YOU HAPPY FAMILY
If there is one word that best describes this bog, it would be great. Kelly, the author, and owner of the blog hit everything to the core. Well, maybe it has something to do with her sharing her own stories with fellow moms and dads alike.
We love how Kelly defined what the blog is all about. She says, that it is “about accepting the fact that we can’t make it perfect, but that doesn’t mean we’ll stop trying for the best. It’s about forgiving ourselves for the mistakes we make. But most of all, it’s about celebrating those delicious compromises that crop up at the intersection of perfect and good enough.”
Well, who wouldn’t agree with that right? For moms especially, becoming a parent is no easy feat. It’s not just about bearing your child for nine months and then giving birth. It’s more than that. So, it’s nice knowing that there are fellow moms out there who reassures us that we are in this together and that you are not alone.
Apart from parenting topics, Kelly also talks about pregnancy, kids’ activities, babies, as well as love and relationships. By the way, Happy You Happy Family is not just a blog, it is also the title of the book authored by Kelly herself.

FINAL THOUGHTS ON PARENTING BLOGS
Parenting is not an easy job. It is and will never be easy. There are so many challenges to face – and as far as we are concerned, and based on parents who are ahead of us, it will never stop. But no matter how challenging it can get, one thing is for sure, it is also very fulfilling and it does really warms the heart.
Nothing beats seeing how our children unfold their persona right in front of us. At the same time, there is nothing more fulfilling being able to affect, inspire, and encourage someone, mold someone to become the best person he or she can be.
Like we said earlier, anywhere you go in the world, you will never mind a parenting manual. However, thanks to generous parents who are the ones behind the parenting blogs we featured and more, we get a glimpse, we get advice on what and how to become a better parent.
