Don’t you just love cheap but lovely furniture finds? Well, guess what? I recently found a new shop called, Underpriced Furniture. I swear, they have a variety of beautiful furniture for every home or room theme you can think of.
Lately, I have thought of updating our home – it’s been a decade since we last had our interiors decorated anyway. I find it timely since I discovered a love for minimalism – thanks to Marie Kondo’s influence, and yeah, her Netflix series where I got hooked in.
So, since my husband and I have only agreed on a certain budget, I had to look for ways to maximize our funds. That is why I checked for several budget-friendly furniture stores both online and offline. That’s when I bumped into the Underpriced Furniture Superstore.
Underpriced Furniture Superstore
Underpriced Furniture Superstore was founded in 1986. It is located along Dawson Boulevard in Georgia. It’s part of the Furniture Row shopping complex. It is open from Mondays to Sundays, so you can visit anytime you want.
According to its website, Underpriced Furniture offers a variety of “quality home furnishings that are stylish, durable, and exceptionally low priced”. They have comfy living room furniture, sophisticated dining room furniture options, as well as cozy bedroom furniture pieces for all ages. Apart from that, they also have lovely home accents, traditional home office furniture, and outdoor furniture. All at a very cheap price.
But wait, there’s more! Yes, apart from their actual store, Underpriced Furniture also has its online counterpart. So, for those who feel like online shopping is a better option, Underpriced Furniture has it and is ready to serve you.
But apart from Underpriced Furniture, there are a few more furniture stores – online and offline – to choose from. I tell you, with all the beautiful options around, you will go crazy finding what you really like – I know because I had a hard time choosing ones for my home. As I said, they are all beautiful. Good thing, there is a budget that I need to consider.
While most of the things I bought were from Underpriced Furniture Superstore, I also got some good finds from the following online and offline furniture stores:
T.J. Maxx and Marshalls
T.J. Maxx and Marshalls are excellent places to begin your search on where to buy affordable luxurious furniture. They sell quality, brand name items at discounted prices. A wide variety of home furnishings can be found at these retailers as well.
Bob’s Discount Furniture
Located in the Northeastern region of the United States, Bob’s Furniture sells brand new, affordable, quality furniture. I saw a beautiful suede-like loveseat for under $300. It looks very high quality and comfortable. But, as much as I want to, I needed to focus on the budget.
IKEA is where you can buy affordable furnitures such as complete bedroom sets and dining rooms. They offer a wide array of discounted trendy furniture and decor items. They even offer floor models at deeply discounted prices. Many treasures can be found at IKEA. You would be remiss not to browse the famous store. I tell you, if you love minimalism, IKEA is one place to be apart from Underpriced Furniture store. They offer a variety of minimalist furniture. Also, their furniture is perfect especially for those living in small spaces like condominiums.
Overstock.com is a fun place to shop and browse online. Most of their products have customer reviews that will be helpful for you when deciding to purchase something. It helps when you hear about specific fabrics or how an item has held up since viewing online is more difficult than in person.
Overstock offers free shipping for orders over $50 which is a huge bonus. Imagine what shipping costs would be for furniture!
Target is another big box store that carries designer items. It’s a higher end store than Walmart with a lot of quality, pocket-friendly furniture options. It has a lot of branches so all you got to do is to find the nearest branch from your place.
Wayfair.com, an online home goods store, also offers a catalog to view. I’ve received many over the years. Viewing catalogs is a little different than viewing online, although you can do that too. They offer on-trend items at deeply discounted prices. Wayfair.com is another retailer that partners with home designers and interior decorators. You’ll find higher-end products here. Customer reviews are available as well to help you make an informed decision.
I love Big Lots as much as I love Underpriced Furniture store. You wouldn’t believe some of the gems I’ve found there. With over 1,000 stores nationwide, you should be able to find one near you. They’re known as a closeout retailer meaning they will sell items that haven’t sold in high quantities at other stores. They get new inventory constantly, so it’s a good idea to watch out for different deals daily. You can do this easily by going online.
Like Underpriced Furniture, these stores carry a variety of options. It would be helpful – apart from setting a certain budget – if you know exactly what you want or what you are looking for prior to visiting these stores. With all the beautiful pieces available, you might overshop.
Also, if you find yourself opting to buy online instead, there are options like free shipping and free returns, which you may take advantage of. With these, you can shop with confidence knowing you can always return the product if in case it doesn’t fit your requirement hassle-free.
You may also search for review websites such as Yelp. I did, and I find it really helpful. You just have to read and compare the reviews on different furniture stores. By doing so, you will find out where to buy items that you have been looking for or items that you may have not heard of before. Getting customer feedback is helpful for you because they’re usually honest and transparent. Actually, I found out about Underpriced Furniture by doing so.
You can find amazingly affordable furniture at thrift stores. It can be a hit and miss depending on their inventory. However, you may just find that gem that you’ve been looking for.
A little reminder though, to help you save even more, apart from taking advantage of free shipping and free returns, before heading on to Underpriced Furniture or any furniture store, make sure you already know the type of look you desire for your furniture or the interior design your eyeing for. This will help you decide where to buy as well. Mismatched items can be very chic. If you have small children, don’t invest in a very expensive piece since it’s likely to get a lot of wear and tear. Wait until your children are much older before purchasing expensive furniture.
Holiday time is all about sales. You might want to wait until that time of year to receive huge discounts. Think about Black Friday too! Floor models are a great choice to significantly save.
Don’t be hasty with your decision. Browse as many different stores in person and online. You may also opt to buy furniture one at a time so it doesn’t feel like too heavy for your pocket. It certainly doesn’t have to be bought all at once. Enjoy adding different pieces and watch your home transform into something completely different one day at a time.
So, there you go. I hope I was able to help you as you try to explore and experiment a new look for your place. Remember, a beautiful home need not be expensive. After all, what makes a home truly attractive or stunning is not the pieces on it or how it looks. A beautiful home is composed of beautiful people residing in it.
